Advocate the Opposite

While taking classes at The Annoyance Theatre, Rebecca Sohn once taught an exercise where we had to advocate the opposite of one of our real opinions.  We had to do so as vigorously as possible.  The results were almost uniformly hilarious.

I recently put such an exercise to work in regard to Jay Leno.

Is this funnier than me straight-up ripping Leno?  If you find yourself in a scene where you need to take a stand, consider arguing against your personal instinct.  See where it takes you.
